We’re all about eating healthy. Having a well-balanced diet is a great way to not only aid in preventing colon cancer, but also to ensure you’re giving your body the best fuel to take on each day! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; it is the catalyst for starting your metabolism, and giving your body the jumpstart it needs to take on the day. From cereal to eggs, there are a ton of choices when it comes to breakfast food. But how do we make something that tastes good and is also healthy?

Protein Pancakes are a great way to get all your major nutrients in while having a tasty and hearty meal. With adequate fats, carbohydrates and protein, these pancakes will give you a great balance to start your day. Paired with some sliced fruit (i.e. banana, blueberries, or strawberries) and some sugar free syrup, you have a guilt-free way to enjoy a breakfast classic. The Power Cakes recipe can be found below. INGREDIENTS
2 scoops of any protein powder (vanilla provides the best flavor)
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup oats
1 tsp baking powder
2 egg whites

DIRECTIONS
Mix together all ingredients until you achieve a pancake-like consistency.
Preheat a pan over medium heat, then spray pan with non-stick spray.
Place mix into pan and cook both sides until mix is fully cooked through. Test with a toothpick.
